Kara - Pretty Girl

Kara the kpop South Korean girl group, released  "Pretty Girl" on December 4th. The song, with the new band members Koo Hara and Kang Ji Young is a distinct departure from there debut album's more urban hip hop based theme. Pretty Girl was released as a mini album after the song Rock U.

The new rebranding of Kara, and the groups attractive and natural appeal has made the group a popular search term on many Korean portals as well as on YouTube, where many of there videos can be found. This has exposed this Korean group to a much wider audience, and also inadvertently a male curiosity for the five young girls and their bio and back ground.

Pretty Girl was announce as a second mini album after Rock U in November with a fun happy concept. After watching the video myself, it is targeted at a tween age group, much like Miranda Cosgrove's music in the United States. The popularity of Kara in the English speaking world is small, but the advent of YouTube has allowed westerners to be exposed to Kpop. Kara's Pretty video has received over 70,000 views. There music is admittedly very addictive.

Pretty Girl as well as other Kara songs like Honey, Rock U, Wanna, have allowed the group to go viral on digital music sites. It has also allowed the girl group to rivial other popular Kpop girl groups such as Girls Generation and the Wonder Girls. So what is the song about? Kara - Pretty Girl is simple but uplifting and motivating song towards young girls about not just thinking your a pretty girl, but thinking that your a beautiful girl, not simply by the way you look, but by how you think and carry yourself.
